Terrible in every way possible

My family and I use Windstream because it is the only thing available. This being said I would rather have no internet... internet always comes and goes. Every call I make to get it fixed ends up the same every time, they will send a technician who will "fix" the problem but is never fixed. (probably had a tech come out 10 times in a 2-week period) So tempted to just grab a hammer and destroy the POS until it is nothing but dust.

User's recommendation: Don't consider Windstream at all... even if its all you can get.

Terrible service

charging me for 15 mb internet and only deliver 2 mb most of the time,always down on weekends and constantly not working.i dont have no other options,only service in my area, terrible,terribel,terrible,,other companys offer much faster speed for less money,i am praying for someone else to offer in my area

Scam caller using land line

Auto warranty service 972-452-**** calling business fax line no way to remove to do not call list. These phone companies need to be able to back check these calls and when they find them shut the service off

Unfortunately, we are unable to prevent caller ID spoofing. We can try a couple of different feature blocks but in my experience the number always changes and the calls continue.

Bad Customer service and policies

Received a reasonable rate for a second home internet in August 2019 and not even a year later the rate was almost doubled due to "promotional rate" ending. Also, company has ZERO compassion for covid-19 related income loss and will not work with you.

What a rip off

I have had Windstream for my business phone service for many years. When I began the price was much cheaper than the alternatives in our area. The price escalated and escalated to the point where I am now paying five times the original fee. The last straw was an eighty dollar increase in just the last month for two land lines. Customer service is based overseas and the wait times are appalling. I cancelled their services, but from what I see from the other reviews, I don't believe this is the end of it.

Cant close an account for a Lady that has been dead for 6 months.

I have been trying for 6 months to close an account for a deceased Lady. I promised to take care of the Lady's final expenses but Windstream won't let it go. On 4-14-20 I made what was supposed to be the final payment but that didn't work. I even paid for the unused month of March just to keep things simple and peaceful. Bills keep coming. Starting 3 days after her death on 2-7-20 I have made 8 phone attempts to include multiple call backs to include hangups, dropped transfers, transfers to wrong department, transfers to inaudible lines and promises of a call back which never happened. I won't call customer no-service again. I sent an email to them today 8-26-20 @ 1712 hrs. If the email doesn't work I will have to find an agency to get their attention. email: philwj5204@***.com

They will not fix my internet and they don't care!

The service is pathetic. The equipment is junk. I've been told that a local area manager will call me, never happens! They will say ANYTHING TO END THE CALL YOU WAITED 30 MINS FOR AND DO NOTHING - NOTHING TO RESTORE INTERNET SERVICE! Call them yourself and see! Tell them you've had no service for a week...go ahead. I challenge you show me a different outcome! And NOTHING will change as a result of this rating either!

Poor/no connection, poor/No show technician

Toledo Bend, Burkeville Texas area Filed complaint with the fcc.gov, Federal Communication Commission Seems like the only way we can get these complaints solved is for us as consumers to get the government involved!! Our government cant help or protect us if they dont know about these companies taking our money and NOT providing the service.
