Windstreams new website is lousy!

Way too many advertisements and pop-ups on Kinetic, E-mail is very difficult to use, it is not nearly as good as the "Incredimail I had before.

I installed a new router and my internet is definitely faster but not what I'm paying for... But it's my only option

Received new updated router yesterday. Set it up and I had internet.

I'm using the term lightly..... My download speed this am was 1.5 Mbps and my upload speed was 0.5 Mbps. Really????

Screw this company! They suck!

The internet service is worse than AOL dial-up. The internet is spotty at best and usually nonexistent. Bundled at $69.95 for internet, long distance, and landline. Now almost $100.00 per month. I'm told techs will come on such and such a day. I take off work and they don't show up. The customer service phone reps are ridiculous! I have no other choice for service now so they can continue to rip us off!!!! Avoid at all costs if you can.

Awful service.

Windstream in Crescent City, FL. Awful service, equally awful customer service. People hanging up when calling about service being down, techs that tell you outright lies or untruths. Im not sure how this company manages to keep any customers. AVOID WINDSTREAM AT ALL COSTS!!!

internet drops every! 3 seconds all day everyday!! 4 techs have come nothing! accomplished, 2 say bridge gap, we have no clue! where sorry csn't help you!

My fowarded emails to my sister and wife seems to get blocked

They contain links to articles I read on Newsmax or other conservative news sites ! They are being put in my draft folder and say check to see if address is correct and no attachments are too large ! What is going on here ?? I know there is no attachment and address works all other times.

Lack of timely customer service

My internet went out on Thur. 6/5, I called customer service on the morning of Fri. 6/6 to let them know my service is out. A ticket was placed and they told me they would be out to repair on Sat. 6/13. Yes, that is correct it will take over a week to have my internet issue looked at and hopefully repaired. The internet is also used for steaming TV in my house. I am just glad home school and working from home is not still going on at my house or my children would be behind and I would possibly be having issues from work since I could not complete necessary work. I have talked to multiple CSR and they have been pleasant but yet are unable to do anything to speed up the possibility of having my internet repaired. I work for a utility company and we make sure to have our members up and running the same day if they have an outage. I would only expect the same from anopther service company..

Update on Windstream

Windstream contractor was to come back and bury a cable they put in October 2019. I called Windstream for the contractors phone number they would not give it to me. The contractor came in April and installed the line. He was very professional and apologize for the delay.

User's recommendation: Do not have Windstream connect you in the winter unless they have @ cable already to the home.

Tired of the service going out every hour

Every day for the last 7 years. 7 YEARS!! I have had to wait for maintenance to complete every hour throughout the day. I call and there is always an outage in my area, which is in Milan, Missouri. How the *** am I being charged 130 dollars a month for service that is ALWAYS down? It’s at the point where I would rather just go without internet than deal with these scam artists.

Still waiting for service

I called in February about getting service for my new house. Seems that Windstream is the only internet provider in my neighborhood. It is now April and no internet. I see that a neighbor who moved in after me was able to get Windstream to spend a good chunk of the day working to get their internet set up. Not sure why they get priority over people that have been here first. What is the hold up?

Wouldn't even give ONE star , if it was an option !

We have had Windstream now for almost 4 years and it has been awful from day one. Our bill is a little over $123 a month for internet and landline . The only reason we have ever had a landline is because we needed it for our AT&T Microcell booster so our cell phones would get more signal. Two years ago we discovered they had put in a new Verizon tower less than a mile from our home. So, we switched to Verizon , got great cell coverage , and no longer needed the micro cell , therefore we no longer needed the landline. We literally have not made a single call off of that line and , quite frankly, I couldn't even tell you what our home phone number is. So I called Windstream to shut off the landline and I was told if I did that , they would cancel our entire account including their *** 1 mbs ( on a good day) internet service. Let thank sink in, we are paying $123+ a month for O-N-E mbs ( with an M , not a G ) internet and a phone line we never use ! After paying my monthly rape charge to them a few minutes ago I got curious and went to their website where they are advertising their Kinetic for $37 / month , normally $45 for "up to" 25 mbs and yet ours has an average speed of under 1 mbs and a base cost of $64.74 / month ? Now do you see why I call it monthly rape charge ? Our local power company in Northwest Arkansas is currently putting in fiber optic internet service and I , like I can promise you will be countless others, cannot WAIT to get rid of the crooks at Windstream ! Oh , and their price ? $80 a month for one GIG of service ! We can get 1,000 times faster internet and save $40 a month in the process. You can bet your sweet *** the day it is available I will be doing the happy dance as I tell Windstream where they can stick ALL of their services !

User's recommendation: Buy carrier pigeons . Even a dead one will be faster and more reliable than Windstream !

Pray you never need customer service

Internet was dropping; customer service scheduled a tech to come out and we never seen one. Called several times and somehow we kept getting cut off. I had to keep calling back.
